These are very early pieces done on small plates. As you can see, especially if you click on the images to get close-ups, I am struggling a little to get the paint to do what I want it to do. The bird is obviously totally mythological. The fish is largely mythological, too, but loosely based on the John Dorey (Zeus faber). The little 9.5"-diameter plate is decorated with a Persian-based design. The two 10"-diameter plates are my first attempts at tree-leaf designs. The branches were done with a brush, and I found it difficult to get some of them of thin and delicate as I wanted.
I've got two blogs going here. One covers my forays into porcelain painting. The other is, or rather was, my poetry blog. I've deleted everything on it except the poem in memory of Johnny Rahm, since that has been linked on other sites.
